ALK Inhibitors is a meeting place for people who have or are interested in mutations involving the Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK) gene and the drugs that are being developed to inhibit the ALK enzyme.
This site has a blog and a Wiki to facilitate discussions and the sharing of experiences and information. Please participate. Also please make recommendations about how this site can be improved. Most of the notes are posted as comments rather than as articles so don’t worry if a particular article seems old, it will often have new comments on it.
For those who are interested the image in the upper right corner is of the ALK enzyme after it has folded into a three dimensional structure. Having this image helps drug developers more accurately and quickly develop ALK inhibitors and to model how various mutations are likely to alter the effectiveness of different drugs (see “Crystal Structure Of The Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase Catalytic Domain“)
